    • Synopsis
    • Although it is the second biggest sport event in Africa, everything is a lot different from the Tour de France.
      The Tour du Faso is something unique...
      African teams are fighting against much better teams from Europe. Instead of a promotion caravan only one single car is driving ahead of the field throwing soaps and bouillon cubes out of the window. In the stage finishs the advertising spots don´t show on big plasma screens but are performed live by actors on stage.
      We will follow three protagonists in this entertaining event. An African cyclist, one of the few who have a real chance in winning a stage - but only if the weather gets too hot for the Europeans, his material doesn´t break and he had a decent meal in the night before. The second protagonist is a German participating in an semi-professional team, who joined in the internet for a life experience of the "Tour du Faso". And finally we are also going to follow one of the advertising actors on their "stage tour" through the heart of Africa.
      In "Tour du Faso" we take the audience on a time travel back to the pre-promotion sport events of the 50s.
