- Synopsis
- Ama is a determined young swimmer who, alongside her best friend Thijs, works tirelessly to prepare for the upcoming championships. Despite being raised by Senagalese parents in the Netherlands, Ama identifies as Dutch and doesn't think much about her heritage. However, when her family is faced with unexpected deportation, Ama finds comfort in the fantastical stories her mother tells her about their homeland and the magical porcupine that serves as her family's totem animal.
