    • Synopsis
    • Chua, a middle-aged man does not seem to have much of a connection with anyone, his occupation taking him amongst the deserted spaces of steel and concrete in contemporary Singapore. A quiet, solitary man by nature, the long hours meld into an endless cycle of night and day. The only relationship he seems to have is with his teenage son, Meng, to whom he returns home to everyday. Hiding his failings from Meng, a deeply sensitive boy, he keeps his troubles to himself. Meng, left to his own devices, seeks to find his place in the same spaces that his father inhabits. In the dense, confined spaces of the city and stifling societal forces, the relationship between father and son grows estranged and slowly becomes unbearable. In a desperate bid to free themselves from this vicious cycle, Chua sets a path to change the course of their destiny. Meng must decide if he should follow in his father’s footsteps.
