    • Synopsis
    • “Please take pictures of her” - it all started with an unexpected request
Koji (Haruma Miura), a college student and an aspiring photographer, takes photographs of families at a park in Tokyo partly because he lost his mother when he was young. One day, out of the blue, he receives a request to follow a client’s girlfriend and take pictures of her. He takes on the job without fully understanding the circumstances, and the job leads to changes in himself and his relationships with women around him.
Tominaga (Nana Eikura) is a childhood friend with whom he spent a lot of time together. He can talk to her about anything. Misaki (Manami Konishi) is a step sister through their parents’ remarriage. She is always there for him to give gentle and yet firm support. And there is another woman (Haruka Igawa) who stands on the other side of his camera lens. She reminds him of someone from a distant memory. As Koji looks straight at these three women, something starts to change inside him, too.
A long-awaited feature film after four years by the globally acclaimed Shinji Aoyama, with a star cast including Haruma Miura, Nana Eikura, Manami Konishi and Haruka Igawa
A novel of the same title by Yukiya Shoji, who made a breakthrough with “Tokyo Band Wagon”, has been adapted to a film by Shinji Aoyama, a globally-acclaimed director as well as a Yukio Mishima prize winning author. In his latest feature film since “Sad Vacation” four years ago he has created a story of unadulterated love that exists in romance, marriage and family. Some feelings go unnoticed because she is so close to him. It takes courage to face up to something that he has lost. Only when he recognizes his true feelings and looks back into the eyes of others, that time starts flowing afresh. Haruma Miura, a leading young and talented actor in Japan, plays Koji who hesitantly grows out of a passive way of life. Nana Eikura of “April Bride(Yomei Ikkagetsu no Hanayome)” charmingly plays a childhood friend, Tominaga, who maintains a cheerful appearance while concealing a shadow in her mind. Manami Konishi of “Nonchan Noriben” plays Misaki, the gracious and uplifting sister-in-law, and Haruka Igawa of “Dear Doctor” plays the mysterious woman who keeps being photographed by Koji. These main characters are supported by other strong actors, such as Shota Sometani, Hiroshi Takahashi and Takashi Ukaji. Set in a bright park, a wistful and yet tender story has been created, which would prompt you to appreciate once again the one you care for by your side and snuggle up to each other.
