    • Synopsis
    • Jörgen Hofmeester has just lost his job, and his favorite daughter Tirza is leaving on a trip to Africa with her new Moroccan boyfriend. When Jörgen doesn’t hear from his daughter for a few weeks, the over-bearing father desperately heads to Namibia to find her. Slowly becoming unhinged in the desert heat, Jörgen starts mixing past and present, hallucinating in a booze-soaked fever. His only ally in the delusional adventure is a child prostitute who helps him in his search. Based on the masterful novel by Arnon Grunberg, this exploration of white middle-class angst is full of dark turns and unsettling twists (2010 Official Oscar Submission). Director: Rudolf van den Berg; script based on the novel by Arnon Grunberg; producer: Jeroen Koolbergen. In Dutch with English subtitles
