1912. English naval commander, Robert Falcon Scott, leads an expedition to Antarctica, determined to be the first man ever to reach the South Pole and claim it for the British Empire. Armed with horse, machine and men of the Royal navy, Scott sets out to conquer his way across the Antarctic sea ice, over a glacier and into his prized polar plateau. But when a rival explorer, the Norwegian glaciologist Bjarnhildur Amundsen, emerges to make her own mission to the pole, Scott’s claim upon 90 Degrees South transforms into a pathological race for glory.
