    • Synopsis
    • In the depths of a forest, a young woman (Jessica Reynolds) raised by wolves is discovered by rangers and taken to an ultra-modern medical facility. Under the scrutiny of scientists, one researcher, Takanara (Naomi Kawase), forms a unique connection with the wild young woman. But once her capture has been publicized, an activist couple named Ellias (Nicholas Pinnock) and Wyona (Marie Jung) infiltrate the facility, believing she needs to be saved. They take her to an abandoned oil rig, far from society, where they aim to shape her into the ideal “pure” human for a post-apocalyptic future.

On the rig, the young woman - now named “One” - struggles to adapt to their ideology and bizarre rituals, but gradually begins bonding with her saviours, disrupting the dynamics between the couple. But One’s curiosity about the outside world grows, leading her to discover a shipwrecked fisherman, Araav, whom Ellias and Wyona have imprisoned on the rig. Despite their warnings, she befriends Araav and realizes that her “parents” have been lying to her.

The situation on the oil rig climaxes and One is ultimately rescued before being renamed yet again - this time as “Alice” - and integrated into society. But she struggles to fit in and is haunted by her past. Years later, she visits her imprisoned “parents”, who encourage her to move on. Ellias reveals that a Japanese author has written a book about Alice’s life, turning her into a symbol of hope for humanity.

Alice, now burdened by the public’s perception of her as a mythical “wolf-girl”, visits the author Takanara in Tokyo in a final attempt to escape from the narratives that people continue to thrust upon her.
