- Synopsis
- THE WINE GUYS follows wine importers and good friends Michael, Chuck and Charlie on a quest to find the best next wine. Charlie is a self-professed “wine soldier,” and world-class sommelier (voted top wine communicator in the world) with a larger than life personality. The three vino amigos are also sharp entrepreneurs, some of the best in their field. Together, they visit exotic vineyards from around the world to hunt for new wine offerings as they bargain their way to the finish line, bringing them to market in North America. The format is an aspirational half-hour documentary series that takes us on a unique cultural adventure exploring wine, travel, cuisine, history and family traditions, resulting in a new business deal in each and every episode. Along the way there is plenty of wine factoids, culinary delights to be sampled, with travel and history takeaways that will entertain everyone from wine beginners to vino geeks.
  
  Our dynamic trio takes audiences on a travel adventure that reveals the transactional world of wine importing while exploring remote wine regions that are lush and rich with history. The trio is tested in every episode to source the best wine and food pairings and haggle with suppliers to obtain coveted wines for North American public consumption at a reasonable price.
