Synopsis
15-year-old Mina lives in a village in Pakistan where women are considered property, and the elders set the law. When Mina’s brother commits a murder, she is forced into marriage within the family of the deceased as a repayment of debt. For the next 30 years, her husband locks her in a small room where she is abused and starved. Her only peace comes from looking out of a small window, where she falls in love with nature as her soul escapes to her memories and colorful imagination. This film addresses the issue of women's rights and, most importantly, Pakistani society. It is a character-driven story based on actual events that portray the destruction caused by “an eye for an eye.”
