- Synopsis
- A reporter discovers the tangled lives of two lovers from pre-war Singapore while researching the provenance of an old violin. The year was 1941. The dream of two young violinists, Kai and Fei, is cut short by the Japanese invasion of Malaya. Kai joins the Resistance, promising Fei he will return, but disappears after the war ends. A determined Fei spends the next three decades in search of him while performing all over Southeast Asia.
