    • Synopsis
    • Young Duffy dreams of glory and of being more that "just a donkey." So he stows away aboard a troop ship bound for Gallipoli Cove. And with the help of a Turkish donkey, a family of Gypsy field mice, and a kind soldier named Simpson, Duffy learns that being “just a donkey” is quite enough, indeed.
An imaginative re-telling of the story of a little donkey, who with the help of Private Simpson, a Geordie from South Shields, saved hundreds of lives during the Gallipoli campaign of WW1. Through their unlikely friendship, the donkey learns the importance of just being yourself. This animated feature tells the tale from the perspective of one of the most loved, but little known heroes: Simpson’s donkey.!
