- When self-taught video journalist Liv Rockwell gets rejected from her dream internship, her life in her Wisconsin hometown becomes suffocating. She costs her father his job, humiliates herself at her family birthday party, and has to watch her ex-boyfriend live the life she always wanted. But when her best friend offers her the opportunity to take one last chance on chasing her dreams in New York City, Liv finds guidance in the last place she would have expected: her long-lost grandfather back from the dead, who has the power to manipulate reality as we know it.
