    • Synopsis
    • 1940 in Switzerland: Dreaming of a singing career in Germany, poor tramp Ernst Schrämli sells Swiss military information to a manipulative German Nazi spy. When he is caught at his dangerous game, Ernst becomes the first Swiss to be sentenced to death for espionage and high treason. Tricked and abused, Ernst is executed by his own army troop at the age of only 23.
