  The Telling is a throwback to subtle, slow-build supernatural dramas of the 80s/90s and is inspired by classic British TV like Children of The Stones, Chocky, The Stone Tape, Day of the Triffids and the BBC's Ghost Stories for Christmas series.
  
  The film is inspired by folk horror and hauntology. The soundtrack has been released on Lakeshore records.
