Slacker Evan Hipkins takes a job with the mysterious Sunshine Institute. On his very first shift, he is bitten by an ancient vampire. Evan learns - too late - that the Sunshine Institute is responsible for policing the uneasy truce between humanity and the forces of darkness.

    • Synopsis
    • Slacker Evan Hipkins (23) is presented with an ultimatum by his long-suffering girlfriend Kimberly: get a job or we're done!
      Evan finds himself working for the mysterious Sunshine Institute. However on his first night on the job, he is bitten by an ancient and powerful vampire. Evan's only hope of surviving is to stay awake until dawn. However he begins to have terrifying visions of Kimberly being attacked by the same monster that savaged him.
      Evan sets out to rescue his girlfriend - but fails to save her from the vampire's deadly bite. He races to the Sunshine Institute for help, only to find it abandoned. Returning home, he is devastated to discover that Kimberly has not only 'turned' but has also attacked and eaten his two best friends.
      Evan is left with no option but to destroy the 'thing' Kimberly has become.
      Traumatized, he tries to put the events of the past 24 hours behind him - but is plagued by terrifying visions. He comes to the realization that he is now permanently 'hot-wired' to the supernatural realm....ant that his 'life' will never be the same.
