In 1986, young Police Inspector Dominique Loiseau, accused to be a rotten cop by numerous official testimonies, is sent to jail for 12 years. Since that day, Loiseau never stopped claiming his innocence, and although he was supported by several Police Unions, he still spent his 12 years in jail. Reprieved in 1993 by French President François Mitterrand, his only aim since then has been to prove his innocence - well conscious that he would have to fight a much bigger machine than he thought.
