    • Synopsis
    • Since its inception, Joseph Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ has been performed in settings which catalyze the power and drama of the music. Expanding on this tradition, director and musician Kaveh Nabatian will direct the creation of a seven-part film to be presented during performances by the Callino Quartet. Exploring a diverse range of cinematic and emotional approaches, seven Canadian award-winning filmmakers will each create a segment based on the theme of their chosen sonata. The resulting work, The Seven Last Words will open up a new space of dialogue between the two art forms.
