    • The Poet moves from Shanghai and other areas of China to New Zealand, to Germany, and, in time, from the sixties through to the present day. It toughes on the freedom of expression and the imprisonment of people for unpopular ideas during the Cultural Revolution, the movement of Chinese people and culture throughout the world, and the problems of a new generation losing their original language and being adrift between cultures.
