- Synopsis
- The BKM production of the film ‘The Plane Tree’ written by Handan İpekçi, recounts love, sorrow, anger and forgiveness. Two sons, two daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, plants, records, a gramaphone and a trunk which are carried from one house to another every two months. And a ‘plane tree’ where they meet every two months, underneath it! Although the retired teacher Mrs Adviye’s a little mischievous, sometimes a little peevish character who seems to make things difficult for her children, for her grandson Barış, the most meaningful thing in his life is his ‘grandma’. Only Barış looks forward to the meetings under ‘The Plane Tree’ and their turn to look after the grandma in their house to come soon.
