- Synopsis
- Twelve years after a traumatic event, Gabrielle returns to Catalunya to grapple with her mother’s death in solitude.
  However, not long after arriving to her childhood home, she finds herself face-to-face with her local demons. Not least of all the desperate Raphael—her once-soulmate—who has been waiting quietly to discuss the afternoon she’s been trying to forget all this time.
  But she’s not the only one. Across the trees, there’s a strangely familiar waltz playing relentlessly on the piano, as if the player was trying to drown something out. Both drawn and repelled by the trauma it evokes, Gabi flees the house. In the nearby village of Lladó, her solitude is once again intercepted by Miquel, a local Catalan with a secret that mirrors her own.
  Meanwhile, Taylor—Gabi’s boisterous American best friend—has flown to Catalunya to surprise her. In the dark about her mother’s recent death, his unannounced visit will bring everything to the surface, setting Gabi on a surprising path to forgiveness.
