    • Synopsis
    • THE PARROT AND THE SWAN is a romantic and musical fantasy, among the most important ballets in Buenos Aires and La Plata city, mixing documentary and fiction images.

The Parrot, soundman of a documentary crew working on a film on ballets, is passing through a traumatic separation. Among many perfomances of huge dance troupes, and the story of The Swan Lake -related by the amusing Director of La Plata City Ballet- the crew get to know a minor, excentric, independent and experimental dance and theatre troupe.

Luciana, dancer from this toupe, comes between Loro’s heart. Little by little he stays with them, quiting his job to win Luciana’s heart. That’s how the melodrama begins, to the rythm of Swan Lake, as a musical and narrative background.

In the end, Luciana, comes with a mysterious pregnancy, quits the troupe and moves to her birth place: San Francisco, Córdoba. The Parrot follows her till he wins her heart. In Buenos Aires, the rest of the keep on dancing, like a resistance, till they’re breathless.
