    • Synopsis
    • A Documentary written and directed by Edoardo Margheriti, who wants to remember the life and career of his father, ANTONIO MARGHERITI who was also father of the Italian Science Fiction movies in the '60 and one of the most famous "Italian Kings of B's", as Quentin Tarantino used to define directors from the "golden years" of Italian Cinema.

Antonio Margheriti, Aka Anthony M. Dawson, was well known abroad and his movies have been distributed all over the world, earning him a greater fame in many foreign countries. He was one of the few italian directors largely known and appreciated in the USA, where he directed several movies produced by major studios such as MGM, Lou Grade Production, and  20th Century Fox. His name and his works are also very well known in Germany, France, Spain, England, Japan and many other foreign markets.

During forty years behind the camera, Antonio Margheriti directed over sixty movies of every kind: Horror, Western, Peplum, Science-Fiction, Comedies, Dramas, Action, Adventure, War, giving his own mark and style to all of them, creating a sort of "Anthony Dawson's Genre".

Antonio Margheriti left an indelible mark in the Italian movie production between 1960 and 2000, and his unique style has inspired countless directors, writers and critics, all over the world. He used to consider himself a simple “craftsman” of cinema, and yet he wrote an important page in our film history, leaving a strong, unmistakable and longstanding mark.

The Documentary collects many interviews of Antonio Margheriti given during the years, alternate to many other interviews of actors, directors, critics and friends.
