- Synopsis
- Year 1981. Only two weeks have gone by since the failed 23-F coup when the refrain of a popular song mysteriously vanishes from the master tape and from every copy of the record that has been sold. Shortly afterward, Joan Baptista Huguet—its composer and performer—receives a postcard urging him to travel to a castle, distant in both time and space, to retrieve it.
  
  When his wife Canuta is kidnapped, and sensing that he himself is in danger, the singer-songwriter flees and heads for the castle. There he encounters its enigmatic inhabitant, the wizard Propatus, a 19th-century necromancer and alchemist caught up in dark dealings with the upper echelons of infernal hierarchy.
  
  Will the singer’s quest ultimately coincide with the magician’s own designs?
