    • Synopsis
    • The Morning After is an anthology drama series that is made up of 15-minute interconnected episodes of playful, slice of life moments and character studies. Every episode will delve into the lives of different groups of people from differing communities within the LGBTQ spectrum, who seemingly have very little in common except for the spaces they are sometimes forced to share.
To really underline just how intertwined their lives are, these characters will interact occasionally outside of their dedicated episodes. To really underline how the city affects the character’s lives, the show goes between different time frames and even different functions and owners of Local Grocers, from present- day Saturday karaoke nights, or to 90s grunge bars, to an actual corner grocery store that served as a front for a secret lesbian bar.
With overarching themes and an impending storyline about gentrification, The Morning After is a show about surviving and the need for safe spaces, but it’s also about the joy in seeking those things out. It’s about community and about those who make them up and those who built them to get to this point.
