    • Synopsis
    • In northern Mexico, the murder of municipal mayors is a common practice in the fight between drug cartels to control territories. Mauricio Fernández is a controversial Mayor who presents himself as one who takes justice in his own hands in order to keep the “peace” in one of the wealthiest counties in Latin America. “The Mayor” analyzes the complex plot woven from the exercise of power and current policies, within a period plagued by violence, strong economic interests, and the over whelming discredit of the political class.
