- Simone is a French woman living in Argentina. She and Pablo are expecting the birth or their third child. This baby girl is born, and her brother and sister name her Violeta. Everything seems wonderful until they realize Violeta’s DNA is special and unique, for it carries an extra chromosome in pair 21, also known as: Down syndrome.
  
  Though shocked, parents and siblings embrace the baby. However, Simone’s mother, Martine, a well-versed, polymath French, art curator and college professor, selectively rejects her granddaughter.
  
  Strong and vulnerable, gifted with a great sense of humor and extraordinary sensitivity, Violeta arrives like a tsunami to tear apart her family’s prejudices and existing values, and to bring the possibility of a bold and unforeseen transformation through nothing other than the genuine experience of LOVE.
