    • Synopsis
    • A young journalist searches for a woman, Moraima (36), who was given up for adoption when she was two years old and her family knows nothing about her. In the process of investigating in a remote area of the Dominican Republic where surrenders of children for adoption are common, she finds other cases that plunge her into a roller coaster of emotions. The long and complicated investigation leads her to a town, El Seybo, where she finally finds Moraima.

In the present, the former child is a thirty-six-year-old woman. The tearing apart produced by the lack of the mother figure, the resentment with the adoptive family and the dark areas that loneliness brings to the soul, accompanies the two women in a revealing and shocking dialogue that involves them both.
