- Celebrated music journalist and mod icon, Paolo Hewitt, wrote an intimate account of his turbulent childhood in the form of a novel, titled ‘The Looked After Kid’. This novel has now been turned into a screenplay.
  Suffering at the hands of a failing social system and an abusive foster parent, Paolo’s story is told without a hint of malice as we follow his teenage years at Burbank children’s home. The screenplay champions Paolo’s dreams of becoming a successful music writer whilst documenting his teenage trajectory through adventures, mishaps, youthful experimentation and the forging of unforgettable memories. And all these moments are underpinned by the music that soundtracked Paolo’s life during the late 60s and early 70s.
  Uplifting yet deeply moving, Paolo’s story is one of love, luck, broken promises and finding family amongst friends.
