In the Peul kingdom of Fouta-Toro, between Senegal and Mauritania, isolated villages subsist without electricity and are totally off-grid. Led by Néné, in her fifties, a dozen wives defy the ban. By taking their destiny into their own hands, they are also changing the fate of the village.
