- “The Latest News” tells the story of Alonso Vargas, a young man who runs a radio program of folk music in a small town. His life runs smoothly alongside his wife, his little daughter and his two close friends, Pedro, his brother-in-law and school teacher, and Jose, owner of a bar. As a result of the violence that gripped the Ayacucho region during the 1980s, the lives and relationships of the characters will be put to the test.
