- Synopsis
- Michelangelo, a veteran actor who makes do playing and singing the traditional Neapolitan character of Pulcinella wherever he can find an audience, is forced to leave Neaples for Paris, when he discovers that his son has escaped to the outskirts of the French city after witnessing a mafia killing. In Paris Michelangelo is reunited with an old friend and with the help of many French and Italian youths attempt to stage a play on Pulcinella , using an original, previously unperformed idea by Roberto Rossellini. If they succeed, they will be making the dream of “les italiens”, the countless Italian immigrant of the past, come true.
