    • Synopsis
    • This Oscar-nominated comedy takes viewers to a garden-party that falls to pieces as the sun and alcohol take their toll. The host is Rémy, a mild-mannered bachelor who changes his life dramatically after his mother died. He takes a temporary leave from work and invites his coworkers to an all-day party in a splendid country-house he just bought. Removed from familiar office surroundings - and intimated by the luxurious villa - the guests gradually let down their reserve. Employees flirt, arguments ignite, and one inhibited party-goer performs an impromptu strip-tease. It takes an outsider, the cultured butler, to restore order.
Goretta, who spearheaded the 1970's Swiss film renaissance, reveals the nuances of body language and group dynamics.
