    • Synopsis
    • Film is set in the early 30s Soviet Ukraine, at the times of industrialization, collectivization, Big Hunger and liquidation of the intellectuals. Untroubled life of Peter Shamrock, American specialist’s son, changes in a moment. His father is killed. Peter is saved from persecutors by a miracle. This “miracle” is kobzar (blind minstrel) Ivan Kocherga. The boy becomes his guide. Their journey, full of dramatic events, is cut in the winter of 1934. Ivan with other kobzars is executed in the environs of Kharkiv. Peter remains the only alive witness of that tragic event.
