- Synopsis
- Decades ago, before his death, the head of the Ma clan performed a brutal ritual, sacrificing the most special girl he had bought to summon a guardian demon to protect his hidden treasures for his young sons. Years later, Lan, a young girl seeking work, arrives at the clan’s remote rice village estate, where she meets Danh, the current master. Danh quickly realizes that Lan holds the key to unlocking the recently discovered treasures left by his father. Also arriving is Son, a young writer searching for the truth behind the mysterious death of his aunt Mai - Danh’s late wife. As Danh sets his plan in motion to claim the treasures for himself, he remains unaware that Lan has a mission of her own. And none of them are prepared for the dark consequences of a sacrifice gone wrong.
