    • Synopsis
    • Early nineties in Buenos Aires. Amanda is 10, has two younger siblings and divorced parents. She goes to a German school since it’s close to Cecilia’s house (her mother), and because once, Gustavo (her father) liked it because there was a piano in every classroom.

Amanda and her siblings spend every other weekend at their father’s chaotic place. When they are with him, Amanda is obliged to be the adult and take care of everyone as best she can. Gustavo is odd, loves them barely more than himself, and his chief influence on his children is music. These are not children raised on infantile songs, they are impassioned musical fanatics like him.

With Gustavo, Amanda and her two siblings enjoy life with 30-something friends, women who come and go, and work at the record shop Gustavo shares with his friend Néstor.

But Gustavo is falling further and further behind on payments to his ex-wife. The children’s school is expensive and the country is in crisis. Cecilia decides to move to Asunción, Paraguay, with her partner and the three children, where the promise of a better financial future awaits them.

Gustavo can’t refuse such a scheme. His limitations in proposing a serious and adult alternative to prevent his children from abandoning the country require that he accept their imminent departure.

But when Amanda, much more grounded than her father, discovers her mother’s intentions, she proposes a plan to Gustavo, to stay and live with him in Argentina.

This is a love story about grown-up children and childish adults, making mistakes and learning from them when life puts them to the test.
