    • Synopsis
    • Mob boss Sonny Calzone was tough, real tough. He had been shot, stabbed, hit by a truck and thrown from a fifty foot building only to meet his maker when he tripped over his own shoelace. Now his bumbling, warm-hearted brother, Guiseppe "the Guppy" Calzone (KEVIN McDONALD), has been thrust into the ultimate position of power. He is the head of the Calzone family. Guppy's aging father (DOM DeLUISE) knows this is a serious problem. Guppy's just not cut out for treachery, loan-sharking, leg-breaking and murder. In fact, he cries if he gets a rug burn. But, the once omnipotent Calzone family is in decline and Guppy is their only hope. So, off Guppy goes to Mafia University to master the art of tough-talking, strong-arming and womanizing. No sooner has he taken over the reigns of power than does Guppy run the Calzone name into the ground with a series of ill-conceived ventures, including a disastrous stab at the phone sex business. He's also collecting enemies like goo on your shoe in the dog park. Agent Nancy Snelling of the FBI has made it her personal mission to put him behind bars and his estranged brother Frito wants him dead. To make matters worse, the head of the Calzone's rival Mafia family (RODNEY DANGERFIELD) sees that this is the perfect time to strike and bring the Calzone family to its knees. He even has a plan that will finally get him some respect. He will use his gorgeous daughter to trick Guppy into falling in love and when he least expects it...BAM! They will whack him. Can Guppy restore the Calzone family to power, fend off his enemies, win the heart of the girl he loves, and finally lose his virginity? Anything is possible in "The Godson".
