- Synopsis
- The film “The Girl from Kosmaj” is a poetical story about a girl called Nina and two young men. Nina and Radovan were young and in love when the war interrupted everything. Nina is left by herself. Dreaming at the well, she met some young partisans and carried a message for them. After a fight between the partisans and Germans, Nina herself joined the partisans. In her search for Radovan, the young girl experienced all the horrors of the war – violation, killing, and slaughter, the suffering of a nation, which loves freedom above all. She was always in the company of a young partisan named Mrki who protected her and lover her without showing his feelings. After a battle, Nina and Mrki met Radovan who was collaborating with the enemy. During an attack against the German commander Becker, Mrki tried to protect Nina but was wounded. He died in the arms of the girl from Kosmaj who, by hesitating between two loves, experienced neither.
