- Synopsis
- Based on documented events, The General follows British SOE Officer Armstrong as he arrives in war-torn Yugoslavia during World War II. Tasked with aiding General Draza Mihailovic and the Royal Yugoslav Army (aka Chetniks) against the Nazi occupation. He orders the destruction of key bridges to disrupt key enemy supply lines. Victories mount, but political intrigue threatens everything when a BBC broadcast credits the rival Partisans for Chetnik successes. Frustration mounts as political games from Allied HQ in Cairo interfere with military strategy, forcing impossible decisions.
