    • Synopsis
    • Embittered by the atrocities of the Second World War in Malaya, Teoh Yun Ling (Lee) seeks solace in the rolling hills of the Cameron Highlands. There, she discovers Yugiri, the only Japanese garden in the country, and its mysterious owner Nakamura Aritomo (Abe). Determined to build a Japanese garden in Kuala Lumpur in memory of her sister who perished in a labour camp, she seeks the help of Aritomo. Reluctant to help, he eventually agrees to accept Teoh as an apprentice. Not long after, tender feelings begin to emerge between the two.
