    • Synopsis
    • Mariela is a 35-year-old girl who returns to her hometown after being away for 15 years. There she hopes to find and meet Gastón, a former love of adolescence. Gastón has a brother two years older, Carlos, with whom Mariela was also romantically involved. Carlos was always attracted to her and at the same time he always knew that the woman's love was greater for her brother. Although Mariela always felt attraction and love for Gastón, she could never avoid falling into the traps of Carlos who wanted to separate her from her brother so that he could stay with him. Gastón has always been the weakest of the three. The forest of dogs is the story of a love triangle full of abuse, secrets and lies.
During Mariela's adolescence, her parents died in an accidental fire. One night the flames consumed the house while the couple slept. Mariela saved her life because she was absent. Upon arrival he found the house on fire and the neighbors who could do nothing.
She always blamed these neighbors for not having helped at that time to save the lives of their parents and after this happened, Mariela, with the executing hand of Gastón, murdered the neighbors' dogs as revenge. Beyond any suspicion, the people never really knew who was responsible for these events.
Mariela continued to live for a time at an aunt's house and then go to Buenos Aires in search of a better future. Fifteen years after her departure, Mariela returns to the town where she grew up. Once there, he decides to look for Gastón. At the moment of the story, this is a withdrawn boy, quite lazy and without any motivation in life. Upon meeting Mariela, he rejects her. He reproaches him for leaving. His return now makes no sense.
This leads Mariela to get closer to Carlos, Gastón's brother. Carlos, strong and more authoritarian, has always subdued his younger brother. He is the only one of the place who knows the truth about the dog affair for having discovered it at the time. At that time, this served to extort both teenagers, subject Gastón to their whims and to have sex with Mariela. At present he is somewhat distanced from his brother.
Mariela chases Gastón. He rejects her and during a confrontation between the two the boy reveals that he cannot carry his life forward. The encounter with Mariela leaves him absolutely unmotivated, he sees the woman as a threat. The next day Mariela will be arrested by the local police to inform her that Gastón has committed suicide.
Mariela is heartbroken. Doubt about what to do. At the same time she is humiliated by Carlos, who not only extorts her for that dark past of which only he is aware. Now he also has reasons to blame her indirectly for the death of his younger brother since his arrival at the place precipitated this event.
Mariela is seen in town as an outcast. They throw it out
