- Eliseo (38), a frontier trader, and Toto (22), an ethnobotany student, are half-brothers and are reunited when their father, Jorge (67), a former doctor and researcher, suffers a stroke and is left in a vegetative state, after having sought for years to develop a medicine based on illegal plants and fungi to heal his daughter, Diana (12). who suffers from a rare disease. The legal drugs you need are almost inaccessible and extremely expensive. This forces the family to look for an alternative medicine in the medicinal plants or "master plants" that some native peoples called: meat of the gods. The family formed by Amancay, also a doctor, Jorge, Toto and Diana, has a nursery managed mostly by Amancay, Jorge's current partner and Toto and Diana's mother. She also performs therapies alternatives using plants as part of treatment. Eliseo is not going through a good time: the mother of his baby wants to leave him because of his addictions and owes money to his former partner, El Cabra. This, taking advantage of the situation and the knowledge of the family, offers them a particular business but knows that they could not do it without the help of Elisha. He does not want to introduce the family to the illegal world, but they convince him when they explain that they need the money. To deal with the debts and help Diana, the half-brothers, together with Amancay accept the business that consists of providing cucumelos (psilocybin hallucinogenic mushrooms) to an organization led by Hifa, a strange androgynous character, who makes spiritual retreats with shamanic approaches and psychedelic therapies to tourists with a lot of money. Knowing this world awakens something new in Toto and he decides to leave his home with the intention of deepening his personal search, science outside the institutions, and with a utopian air to create a movement. The Goat feels betrayed. Diana is still in treatment. Elisha reaches a limit point and is hospitalized, helped by Amancay and Diana, manages to recover. Throughout this plot that includes drug trafficking, shamanic businesses and alternative medicines, the family drama unfolds, while waiting for Jorge to wake up or die, Eliseo tries to connect with his past and forgive his father. Thus, her dark world interacts with the ecological world of her new family and Diana's unique universe.
