    • Synopsis
    • When Manu was a kid he had a life-changing experience: a symphony orchestra came to town one day and from the moment he first heard them play, listening in amazement and wonder to the marvellous music, his only dream has been to set up an orchestra of his own.
But as well as being a tenacious dreamer, he is also an outsider who has trouble finding his place in the world, as is evident in his choice of musical instrument: a broom, which he uses to both play music and keep the beat. However, this does not stop him from bringing together a unique band of quirky musicians that defy all stereotypes and clichés: a violinist who stops playing every now and then to scratch her itchy armpits, a pair of trumpet-playing twins rescued from the circus, who have an amazing sense of smell, a bearded countertenor and a percussionist who does his best to play a triangle which an annoying goldfinch keeps insisting on using as a perch. They are accompanied by a goat, much like those often seen with travelling gypsies, which has an amazing ability to climb right up to the top of a step ladder.
Under the guidance of Salegi, their Mafiosi manager, the orchestra sets out to find fame and fortune, in a story that is as funny as it is bittersweet.
