    • Synopsis
    • Set in the mid 50’s, Alfonso, a small 11 year old boy who has never met his father unfortunately loses
      his mother rendering him completely alone to fend for himself in an old, humble suburban house. To
      survive he began to search for work, but the only job available was at the pharmacy in the small town
      in which he lived. At his workplace he began to read everything he could about medicine, learning
      more than anyone in the region. There were no doctors in the area and the closest thing to one was his

      boss, the drunken pharmacist. Alfonso ends up becoming the “Little Doctor” of the region and discov-
      ers his true calling in life.
