    • Synopsis
    • Beautiful Zena Nowakowski is an eighteen year-old musician with one goal: to get a record deal. Living with her strict Christian grandparents in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the only joy she gets out of her otherwise boring life is from being the lead singer of a struggling indie-rock band. When she learns about a music competition in Toronto that will award the winner with a record deal, she rebels against her headstrong grandfather.

The road trip there proves to be anything but smooth: the bandmates fight over changing the band's name, their drum kit and guitar amps get stolen, the alcoholic guitar player goes missing, and everyone mutinies against Zena and tries to go home. To make matters worse, Zena's grandfather decides to hit the road and hunt her down. He will stop at nothing to make sure Zena attends Bible college and gives up her pie-in-the-sky pop-star dreams.

Filled with heart and humor, Zena follows one girl's journey of hope, passion, and courage as she strives to fulfill her God-given destiny.
