- Synopsis
- In a terrifying post-apocalyptic world inhabited by sadistic gangs divided into deadly factions, Nina (KATE BOSWORTH) and Mark (TYLER HOECHLIN) race desperately across the devastated and lawless countryside in search of safety and must work together as they are pushed to the breaking point in order to survive.
  After years of political strife, racial tension, rising disease, poverty, debt, violence, over population and depleting resources; the government makes a decision to hit the reset button; wiping out all life for a fresh start at a new kind of America. As part of the man-made cataclysmic event, toxins are dropped across the States. As most died due to exposure, some are mysteriously immune and survive. Most run north or south of the border, leaving behind everything and the life they know.
  With the grid shut off, the survivors who remain are left powerless in the vast and empty collapsed space they called home. Slowly their world reverts back in time and its inhabitants follow suit. Cities are left as tombs. Survivors cling together in rural pockets forming a primitive counter- culture of like-minded gangs sprinkled across the country, ravaging a new landscape.
  The gangs are few and mighty in their claims of how the world will run moving forward. Each represents various American dreams gone awry; a sort of demented version of America at its best and worst, with its members stopping at nothing to hold their ground and survive.
