    • Synopsis
    • A group of Neanderthals drift on a sheet of ice. They reach the coast and enter an unknown territory, modern and dangerous: it is the city of Europe.

      Europe is plunged into a great crisis. Controlling demographic growth, applying a population readjustment and eliminating non-productive individuals, are some of its policies. But they have not been enough. The planet is ending and there are no life options for everyone.

      María resides in Europe with her husband Lucas and their son Alfonso. She is the director of the Foundation for the Recovery of Memory, a center that treats dissident citizens who have suffered official lobotomies.

      When primitive beings are discovered, European society polarizes between those who defend their existence and those who seek to exterminate them. The government takes advantage of the circumstances to initiate a new population regulation, which motivates the resistance's counterattack. They consider that the primitives are the possibility of correcting the mistakes made and the opportunity for Humanity to start from scratch and return to its origins.

      María's pleasant life turns upside down when her son is arrested for belonging to the resistance and defending the primitive beings. From that moment on, María starts a race against time to free him. She seeks help from her husband, Interior Minister; her best friend Paula, the first lady; and his father Mario, an old resistance fighter who fought to change the system they live in and was lobotomized for it.

      A pregnant Neanderthal woman takes refuge in María's house and the two women establish an emotional bond that leads them to fight to save their respective children and to achieve their own survival.
