This film centres on an extraordinary woman, Diana Budisavljević. Born into the respected Obexer family from Innsbruck, Diana married a Croatian doctor, Julije Budisavljević, and soon after followed him to Zagreb, Croatia. In the autumn of 1941, she started helping Christian Orthodox women and children who were held captive in Loborgrad concentration camp. Operation DB, as Diana used to call it, saved 10,000 children. However, in the turmoil of history, her story has remained untold.
