Armen, a 24-year-old delivery guy, and Ani, a 21-year-old, currently studying journalism, get married. Soon after Armen loses his job. In order to take care of his family’s financial situation he involves in offering bribes during presidential elections for designated candidates.

    • Yerevan, 2013. Armen, a 24-year-old delivery guy, and Ani, a 21-year-old journalism student get married and move in their new place. Armen suddenly loses his job and the couple finds themselves in a financial struggle where they have to delay any plans of having a baby. In order to fix the situation, Armen gets involved in offering bribes for a presidential candidate. When Ani posts a video, Armen and his colleague, Ruben, get detained but soon after get released illegally with the help of their political patrons. Ani does not accept Armen’s actions and leaves him but comes back soon after discovering her being pregnant, although deep in heart she can not forgive him. Armen, who desperately needs money and has little to no choice, goes on with his new job and agrees to switch the ballot box on the day of elections. He wants to purchase an apartment and he needs money for the down payment. Ani’s physical and emotional situation gets worse when she discov- ers that Armen did not stop bribing people for elections. On the day of elections, due to active involvement of opposition activists, Armen gets detained again. On the same day, Ani experiences a miscarriage, and since Armen’s phone is unavaila- ble, she does not inform neither her husband nor Armen’s relatives about the miscarriage. Armen’s parents unable to find an acquaintance in the system to release their son. Political patrons give up on him. Ani takes a desperate action and bribes the judge by transferring the required money they got from selling Armen’s fathers store to a charity company that has in- visible ties with the judge. When Armen gets released, his friends and family get together for a celebration. They party and drink, make toasts about their country and having no idea Ani lost her child guests turn to Ani offering her to decide a name for a future child. Ani whispers to Armen that she lost her child.
