    • Synopsis
    • George has retired after 30 years of hard work but unfortunately he became the victim of a major corporate collapse that has left him and his wife penniless. Yet, they have an $800,000 life insurance policy so they are worth more dead than alive! What would any normal couple do in this dire time? Well of course hire a professional killer to "kill you." Problem solved, or so George thinks as he makes these lethal arrangements, unbeknownst to his wife Stella, with a professional killer.
George hires a newbie to the killing business, Brett Summerfield. Yet, how hard could it be to "take out" two frail old people? For Brett, it's almost as hard as trying to walk on water. After several attempts to complete the contract, poor Brett ends up more injured and bandaged up than his targets. But just as Brett is about to give up, he meets a beautiful Russian spy. Together, they set out to end these people's life. It looks like George and Stella may actually end up pushing up the daisies. Or do they? The Cost of Living is a hilarious movie where "Mr. Bean" meets "The Fockers."
