Fernando DIAZ (MACHACO FILMS), Roxana RAMOS (ARAMOS CINE)
Synopsis
Federico, a science teacher with a promising future, moves into a remodeled and picturesque apartment. Soon, the attraction with Cecilia, a beautiful woman who lives there, becomes noticeable. At the same time, as a relationship begins between them, so do the problems. Another neighbor, an old cat lover and her little kitten that doesn't stop crying every night, not only threaten Federico's peace of mind, but also confront him with a dark childhood that he thought was already buried forever. Federico realizes that this part of his past still haunts him. When the newborn cat disappears, the old woman blames Federico and curses him. Soon Cecilia becomes pregnant. As the child grows in the womb, so do doubts, fears and a reality that begins to twist. The old woman and her friends behave stranger and stranger. Federico begins to believe that something dark surrounds these apparently nice old ladies. Cecilia's pregnancy becomes more and more complicated and the hostility of the women increases. Everything gets worse with the birth of the baby, who does not stop crying. She does it with an animalistic and heartbreaking wailing. Federico is going to face a world he does not believe in, and this confrontation will only make him embrace uncertainty. A descent into an unknown abyss awaits him that will erase one by one the foundations of his world.
